Is it just me, or have you seen an extraordinary number of mustaches around? They have come all the way from an endeavor called Movember started in Australia, and are being grown to fundraise for Prostate Cancer. That's what they say. I think it's just a fun excuse to grow a 'stache. But listen, if I could, I would too!
It's so popular this year, that even a large group of lawyers from Fasken are all growing them in a healthy competition. I took these portraits for the magazine Precedent, The New Rules of Law and Style. It was pretty hilarious.
If you are interested in donating to this worthy cause, I suggest you pick the lawyer you'd like to donate to above, or send straight to my friend Wojitek (second from the bottom on the right).
THREE years ago, Heather and I were neighbours. We had a lot in common, and spent a lot of time together gabbing. Travel, boys, careers, you name it.
TWO years ago her brother got married, and they hired me as their photographer. (She's the one in pink)
ONE year ago Bryan (on Heather's left above), got married, and hired me as their photographer. Heather brought her boyfriend Mike...
THIS year Heather and Nick, friends of Heather's family, got married, and hired me as their photographer. Mike and Heather were now engaged...
NEXT year, Heather and Mike are getting married, and hired me as their photographer. Today we had our engagement shoot. After all the wedding overlaps, to shoot Heather's wedding feels like a long time coming, and such a treat to bring it back to where it all started.
I can't wait for your wedding, you guys. Thank you for all your love and support over the years!
This portrait session was purchased as a Christmas gift for this family a year ago. They wanted to wait until their son was a bit older before cashing it in. Now he's an expressive little monkey. I looked forward to this little session all year!
That's right. Our beautiful weather turned sour this weekend. But that's not going to stop a fun and loving engagement session with these two! When the weather called for rain, Adrienne busted out the yellow rainboots. Suddenly the world was cheery and happy again.
Yes, they really were this fun!
And this cute.
Now if it would just be 2009 already, so we can have fun again!
On Saturday, I completed my wedding season for 2008.
And what better way to finish the 22 weddings, but with Joe & Roisin. When we had our engagement shoot at Terroni's, I knew their wedding would be wonderful. They were so lovely, so in love, and just so excited to get married!!
At our first consultation, I remember Joe's parents visiting from out of town saying to me, "Don't you think Roisin will be a beautiful bride?" Um... YES!!! Have a lookdy-loo:
Great last photoshoot, I must say. We had such a good time.
And when we took our photos outside of the reception at the Rosewater Supper Club in the freeezing cold, there wasn't even a whimper of a complaint.
